About Rashmi Jain
Rashmi Jain is Mehendi
/ Henna artist based at Kolkata (Calcutta), India. She have been practicing mehendi art since she was 12. During her school days she have done mehendi on her friends and relatives on different occasions. Her Mother and aunty are experts too in Mehendi art.
Though she have a
reasonably good portfolio of mehendi designs, she likes spontaneously to create designs based on the occasion.
Mehendi being her creative outlet, she has designed only for close friends and family. This modest lady did not realize her own potential. However, people who knew her, recognized her talent and encouraged her to participate in a Mehendi Competition, organized by the Marwari Yuva Manch (Imphal,
India Branch). She won the First Prize and with all the publicity, came requests for teaching others her skills with Mehndi designing. She
have imparted mehendi training to over 200 students from various part of
India and abroad.
Several awards / felicitation / recognition
for Professional Excellence that were bestowed upon her has gained a
reputation on being popular in the field of Mehendi / Henna application in
India.
Rashmi Jain is understand her responsibilities
towards her family, which is the reason that she is conducting mehndi
classes / workshops at home. According to her, she does not need a big or
decoratated parlour or office to attract her students, her work speaks for
itself.
